In a week packed with big new releases at the cinema – The Revenant and Creed among them – one of the smaller ones is making a big impression. Just arrived in cinemas, Lenny Abrahamson’s Room, certificate 15, has already won a Golden Globe for its star, Brie Larson, and is nominated in several BAFTA and Oscar categories. All for a film that’s set in a 10 foot by 10 foot world.
London Mums’ resident film critic, Freda Cooper, gives her verdict on a film where parent/child relationships are less than sugar-coated.
