London Mums Magazine is excited to attend BrickLive in August running from 20th – 24th at Battersea Park. BrickLive is an event for Lego enthusiasts it’s an educational fun day out for the family.

This summer, BRICKLIVE is dropping into London’s Battersea Park and bringing ‘real world’ kids play to the last days of the school holidays.  BRICKLIVE opens its doors to primary and pre-schoolers, using amazing brick sculptures, brick-building and play to help young minds enjoy the close of the school holidays, and prepare for the classroom.

Kids Club: What to expect from Legoland Windsor

My friend Amelie from London Mums Kids Club and I recently attended the opening of Heartlake City, a brand new LEGO® Friends themed area, guests to the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort. To celebrate there was a temporary gigantic 2.6m x 3.6m LEGO mosaic of singing superstar Taylor Swift after she topped a poll asking youngsters which celebrity they would most like as their best friend. The mosaic was created by fans visiting the Resort on the Bank Holiday weekend using a total of 35,840 individual bricks.

It was our first visit there and we were super excited. Check out our video review of the new Lego Friends are as well as the whole park.

The Art of the Brick – Lego Exhibition Images

Don’t miss one of the most fascinating exhibitions ever come to London, The Art of the Brick® by US brick artist Nathan Sawaya who used more than a million LEGO® pieces to produce over 80 artworks. I have tried to capture the uniqueness of each masterpiece through my camera lens but they don’t really give a sense for the brilliance of this new form of art. Enjoy these images (only a handful just to give you a taster of the exhibition)!
