More familiar to cinema-goers from his appearances alongside Robert Downey Junior in Iron Man or George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, Don Cheadle is seriously multi-talented in his own right. He’s the director, producer, writer and star of Miles Ahead, a project that’s taken him the best part of ten years to get onto the big screen. His labour of love has just arrived in cinemas, certificate 15, so London Mums’ resident film critic, Freda Cooper, went along to see if it hits the right note.

Iron Man, Thor, Captain America …… they’ve all become familiar faces in cinemas over the past couple of years, as the Marvel universe rolls out blockbuster after blockbuster. But super heroes don’t come in just a variety of shapes: they come in different sizes as well, as the latest one shows.
Ant-Man, easily the most diminutive super hero of them all, arrives in cinemas this Friday, 17th, certificate 12A. Time for the grown-ups to go to the movies. Book the baby sitter, the table at your favourite eating house and the tickets for your local flix. Chef is in town!
Make sure that you visit the restaurant before you see it though, because this is a film about great food and Twitter. The last thing you should do is see it on an empty stomach! The food, from a whole new menu to a more down-to-earth Cubano, is so mouthwatering you can almost smell it. The film isn’t far behind.
