Free nature workshop at Kew Gardens this Easter Saturday – perfect for keeping the kids happy!

Nina Chakrabarti, illustrator of children’s activity book Hello Nature, will be running two free workshops on Easter Saturday (26th March 2016) at the Victoria Plaza Bookshop, Kew Gardens. Perfect for children aged 6+, these workshops will involve exploring the patterns, colours and sounds you can find in nature. 

This will be a great Springtime activity for the family, is completely free and there is no need to book your place – just turn up at one of the two workshops at 11:30am or 1pm. Nina will also be available to sign copies of her new book, which is all about exploring the exciting natural world around us.

Easter Sunday is about more than Easter eggs but if your children are like mine, they have very little interest in anything else! To introduce them to the idea that Easter Sunday is a day of ancient celebration and feasting, why not create something special to decorate the Easter Table? I like to have all my old favourites on display that day and napkin rings made of felt are a pretty addition to a place setting. They are easy to make and easy to personalise – use any scraps of lace, ribbon or buttons that you have stashed away for instant personality and vintage appeal.
