By Francesca Lombardo – Following in the footsteps of Venice, Rome too made a massive effort this year not miss the 15th Edition of the Rome Film Festival despite Covid19. The film festival will be packed with film screenings from all over the world, special encounters, conferences and plenty of special sections and exhibitions.
From the 15th to the 25th of October, the Auditorium Parco della Musica will see actors, actresses, directors, screenwriters, and above all audiences return to the Fest’s traditional venue and recreate that marvellous festive atmosphere created by partaking in the passion for film.
This year’s official poster for the Rome Film Fest is photo of two film icons: Sidney Poitier and Paul Newman in a relaxed moment on the set of Paris Blues.

The first few months of the year are a mixture of heaven and hell for film fans. Heaven because all the big award contenders are released, which means plenty of good films, and hell because there’s so many, so you inevitably end up missing something. But let’s be positive about it! The films likely to be in the running for this year’s BAFTAs and Oscars (we won’t know for sure who they are until mid-January) will give adults plenty to get their teeth into – and there’s at least one family movie that could be up for a gong or two as well.
Here’s the Movie Preview pick of what the first three months of the New Year has to offer.
