The Posh mumpreneur

The ideal gift for all mums, girlfriends and grandmothers. The newly launched website from Posh Paraphernalia, a new online shop for the woman who has everything!

www.poshandlovely.com has great pinnies for children and adults to keep them spick and span whilst preparing Christmas cookies. The Posh Pinny and the Mini Pinny are available online. Posh Paraphernalia aims to add a touch of glamour to those little things in our homes that are often overlooked in the style stakes. It makes super-stylish versions of everyday items such as pinnies, oven gloves, tea towels and tea cosies, all of which are designed and handmade in the UK.

The Posh Pinny we tried is £35, The Mini Pinny £20 and The Gentleman’s Pinny £35 for those dads who will be helping London Mums in the kitchen.

The mumpreneurial Story behind Posh Paraphernalia

Formerly known as Posh Pinnies, the idea for a company that ‘poshed-up’ everyday items was born when Sophie Richardson gave her mother, Jane, a pinny for Mother’s Day. “It was just what I needed,” Jane says, “but it got us both thinking: we could make something far more beautiful and transform a pinny from a useful pressie to a fabulous one!”

Before long, Sophie and Jane found themselves designing a whole collection of Posh Pinnies and launching their own website. Since then, their products have been featured in a host of magazines, newspapers and on television. They even have a number of loyal celebrity fans.

The pinnies were so popular the mother and daughter team decided to extend their range. Posh Paraphernalia now has a new collection of exclusive and glamorous present ideas. Prices start at £10 for a pair of Posh Tea Towels, through to £35 for a Posh Pinny, which comes beautifully wrapped and with a personalised card.

“Pressie buying can be so difficult,” says Sophie, “especially when friends and family just seem to have everything already. But we think Posh Paraphernalia is the perfect place to find that little something that they don’t already have or, at the very least, a much posher version of the things that they do!”

Jane agrees. “It’s a bit like Marilyn Monroe used to say: ‘Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world’. It’s the same with a Posh Pinny.” Sophie laughs: “And if you don’t conquer the world, at least you might conquer the washing up!”
