There are so many new amazing value-for-money fragrances and perfumes for ladies on the market this year. We don’t need to break the bank to buy a little something to our partner, mums or girlfriends on Valentines’ day. It was tough but I have managed to pick my favourite beauty gifts for Valentine.
Nowadays it seems a normal practice for Hollywood stars and starlets to bring a perfume out. Interestingly enough my favourite fragrance of a screen legend is How To Marry A Millionaire starring Marylin Monroe who never managed to create her own perfume when she was alive. it can only be sensed. For an injection of timeless glamour, this new women’s fragrance is destined to become an eternally elegant addition to a beauty ritual. At £20 is probably the most luxurious perfume I have ever owned. For me it’s been love at first scent. What I love about How To Marry A Millionaire is its enticing infusion of green mandarin and marine accord. The middle note is jasmine which combines with green mandarin and marine accord a sumptuous crescendo of alluring headiness. There’s even a hint of sandalwood, amber and salted vanilla; intertwined together, the result is a warm and intoxicating finish that lingers beautifully on the skin. I had to read the ingredients to be able to recognise as they are all very nicely merged.
The bottle is elegant and charming in its own right with diamonds at the top. Diamonds are really are a girl’s best friend and this perfume is one to proudly display on my dressing table.

It consists of buying any Estée Lauder fragrance from the The Perfume Shop retailer; customers will then receive a free full size Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Lip Potion – which goes beautifully with the Valentine’s Day theme!
Le Rouge Gloss scent embodies bold, intensely seductive femininity. It is an addictive scent with its succulent intensity of mouthwatering Mandarin and the glistening fruitiness of Black Cherry which vibrate against the tightly-petaled blooms of Rose Centifolia to reveal honey-like lush depth. A modern spark of Carrot and Pink Pepper are added for a tempting spiciness that completes this sensation.

The Pure Colour Envy Liquid Lip Potion Rouge fluide tastes like Vanilla ice cream and is long lasting rouge lip stick. I put it on in the morning and I still had it at the end of the day after having meals and drinks. I love it! The vanilla flavour is certainly a bonus.
Mary Kay Enchanted Wish™ Eau de Toilette is fresh and Springy with its fruity-floral scent including notes of granny smith apple, orange oil Brazil, white pineapple, candied petals, stargazer lily, peony, fresh ozone, passion fruits and brown sugar, warm amber, illuminating musk. It’s a powerful mix and very refreshing. It’s suitable for the both Spring and Summer. It is available at marykay.co.uk The bottle is very cute and perfect for an impressive gift to any woman.
Cheap And Chic Stars Eau De Parfum
50ml – £15.00 (RRP £60.00) It’s incredibly discounted but this does not mean it is not good. In fact I would dare say it’s my favourite of all. It’s called cheap and chic but it is really gorgeous smell.
On the skin it feels like a bouquet of flowers with tones of Citron Granita, Rose of May, Peony, Lily of the Valley, Orange Flowers, Jasmine Petals as well as base notes of White Driftwood, Vetyver and Ambroxan (not sure what the base notes are but the mix is formidable). This perfume is so good that it deserves the Golden bright, luminous presentation with its stars, like the constellation Cassiopeia. The bottle is definitely one to keep. It is available to buy at the discounted price from Beauty Base website.
For a great presentation gift box, the Ted’s Sugar Sweet Butterfly Mini Beauty Bag (£12) part of the Ted Baker Sugar Sweet Butterfly Collection is my first choice – also in terms of price point. This pouch includes a Lip Balm (£5), Body Shimmer Soufflé (£10) and a Body Spray (£7). It’s a limited edition range exclusive to Boots and boots.com. The 50ml Body Spray included in Mini Beauty Bag is a stunning scent especially when used with the Body Lotion. It’s an affordable gift but very good value for money and packed full of pamper night essentials!
For a woman who loves her home space, I would suggest a special diffuser from The Ted Baker Residence Home Fragrance (£35 each). The one I have tried is is inspired by the city of London and includes a Wild Rose and English Leather scent which makes your space very pleasant and relaxing. The diffuser itself is quite pretty and nice to look at. I have it in my office.
There are other scents inspired by New York, Miami, Sydney, Athens and Tokyo. You can choose a diffuser for each city for the ultimate home fragrance gift. Each comes in a textured ceramic vessel, finished by hand, with a beautiful foil frame illustration. London has to be my favourite, of course!
You can buy a perfume for a special female friend who will certainly appreciate your gift more than your other half. You bet!
