Being a fan of the original Wonder Woman series from the 80s with Linda Carter, I was prepared to be disappointed by the first Wonder Woman blockbuster. In my mind there could not be any film better than that TV programme. But I was wrong. Gal Gadot is not just a pretty face. She managed to bring a new fresh interpretation of the most famous super heroine.

Wonder Wonder the movie is finally arriving onto 4K UHD, Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital Download. Gal Gadot returns as the DC Super Hero in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. I am happy as this movie is truly magnificent even for non superheroes’ fans.
The story
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

The verdict
This movie tells the Greek mythological story of how Wonder Woman became aware of her super powers as a little girl brought up in an only female world. I love the fact that during the first 20 minutes, we don’t see a single man on the screen. We see her developing her warrior skills in an enduring training from the ancient world. Once she meets Chris Pine she lands in Edwardian times and gets to dress up as a regular woman finding out what’s weird and wonderful about being a woman including falling in love.
At every opportunity she manages to prove that she is more powerful and smarter than men. It’s a real girl power boost of a film. I found it very emotional towards the end after going through the journey with her.
