Whether it’s half term or after school downtime mums always need to keep kids entertained. I don’t know about you, but I loved making things when I was a kid. And my little girl is just the same. Arts and crafts are so good for children it helps them relax and enjoy childhood the way they should. Very important if your child like mine struggles at school and gets a little stressed out at times.
Several studies have been done in the past 10 years on the impact of divorce on children, specifically with regard to their academic performance and exam results. The *studies all suggest that although the psychological damage from divorce fades for children within a few years, their academic performance continues to decline.

Having lived in London for over 17 years it has always amazed me when I come across people whose parents or grandparents are from a different country and they don’t speak anything other than English. Often they say ‘I understand it but I can’t speak it’. I always thought their parents did something wrong! Now that I have children of my own I realise that it is easier than I thought to just let a language go, especially when parents have different first languages to each other and to the local community.
