Natural Cycle IVF is not new

The first IVF baby in the world was from a natural cycle in 1978 in UK. IVF (In vitro fertilisation) is a medical procedure where an egg (or eggs) is fertilised outside the body. It can be done to aid conception when couples or single women are having difficulties conceiving naturally.

There are many patients who have failed or are not candidates for stimulated IVF and have nevertheless achieved a successful pregnancy using Natural Cycle IVF. However, medication side effects, money worries, and uncertain outcomes can cause infertility-related stress which can put a lot of pressure on both men and women. To help ease the emotional burden of subfertility and IVF treatment, GENNET City Fertility are hosting a monthly support group organised by Fertility Network UK. By sharing experience, patients reduce stress and feel like part of a community, which can tremendously help with the whole process.

GENNET City Fertility offer counselling services to all their patients (the first appointment is free of charge). This professional counselling should be offered before, during and after IVF treatment (regardless of the outcome) according to the recommendation of The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). It offers a safe and confidential place to explore feelings and thoughts and to discuss ways of coping. The GENNET City Fertility counselling service is confidential and independently provided by counsellors who are accredited members.

When choosing the right facility for you make sure there is a supportive environment with a dedicated team or professionals who provide good pastoral care (and continuity of care) This can make a huge difference to the quality of your fertility journey.
