School holidays can be challenging for parents trying to find fun indoor activities for kids which can be a bit educational as well. The Gears! Gears! Gears! Build & Bloom Flower Garden Construction Set by Learning Resources is great to develop children’s imagination as well as manual skills. It is suitable for children from 4+ and, as you can see in this video, my 8 year old son Diego found it extremely entertaining and a bit different from the usual Lego and Meccano building sets.
Diego was actually familiar with this as he said he saw kids using it during playtime at school. Children can be as creative as they want with this set where parts are all interchangeable and allow them almost endless combinations and designs.
Diego and I loved the big colorful flowers and bugs moving in the spinning flower garden so much so that after he built it all we left it in the leaving room as a decorative ornament.
The complete set is quite big and includes 115 interchangeable pieces from colourful gears, flowers, butterflies, bees, ladybirds, wiggly stems and more!
There are base pieces that snap and can be moved around to create thousands of different combinations to build a spinning mess-free garden indoor. It is fun to watch it moving at the end. Check out Diego’s video to see how it works.
