Tikka Masala family feast – Home-cooked Indian food made easy

During lockdown we have all missed going out, including meals at our favourite restaurants. I love cooking but I have always found Italian cuisine easier than other cookery. I love Indian food but I never thought I could make a good curry. So when I heard of a new service offered by SpiceBox I wanted to give it a go and make my own Tikka Masala. North East London’s favourite neighbourhood curry house SpiceBox has in fact started sharing recently their spicy flavours by launching family curry night recipe boxes with a nationwide delivery service. You still have to cook but the instructions are really detailed. This service has given me the confidence that I can indeed make my own Tikka Masala dish.

A curry night box filled with all of the ingredients needed to make a delicious Tikka Masala 100% plant-based, plus a recipe card was delivered to my doorstep last week so I could indulge in the beloved British tradition of ‘Friday night curry’ – a small but vital pleasure in these difficult times. And boy we all miss that!

Whether you opt for a creamy, Cashew and Coconut Korma packed with seasonal veg or curry house favourite Tikka Masala with creamy tomato sauce, and crunchy green peppers, your curry night is sure to pack a spicy flavour punch and bring the whole household together in a fun evening of cooking and feasting.

To give you an extra helping hand, SpiceBox’s founder Grace has created accompanying YouTube recipe videos which will be live on SpiceBox’s YouTube channel, SpiceBox TV.

Each box generously feeds 4 people, and is priced at £45 per box. £2.50 from all boxes sold is given straight to SpiceBox’s charity partner, The Woodland Trust.
