London kids meet Tilly Ramsay & try Tilly’s Treats at Bread Street Kitchen

Over the Summer our Kids Club met Tilly Ramsay, daughter of the famous British chef Gordon, and tried Tilly’s Treats at Bread street Kitchen. This is what they had to say about the experience.

‘In July I took my two children to the Bread Kitchen to learn about Tilly’s Treats, which included making their very own Pizza from “dough 2 finish”. On arrival we were greeted by lovely friendly staff (Selena & Mathew) & taken upstairs to the incredibly spacious, informal but very interesting 1st floor restaurant & cafe bar, its even equipped with its very own greenhouse & wheelbarrow full of brightly coloured vegetables.

The kids were immediately exhilarated upon meeting Tilly Ramsay & jumped straight in to their aprons & chefs hats.

Head chef, Paul Shearing was amazing & effortlessly took control of the group & after washing their hands they immediately started having fun with the Pizza dough & spreading their favourite ingredients on top.

All this noted from a comfortable vantage point with a flat white, some delicious food, interesting conversation & the Sunday papers in hand.

What seemed like a couple of precious hours after arriving, I asked my 9 year old son, Rahul if I could try his delicious looking Pizza. He was not impressed & handed me a half inch crust (apparently he also devoured every spare piece of fruit & veg in the chef’s kitchen).

The children loved meeting Tilly & having their books personally signed. They wanted to ask her if her dad shouts at her in the kitchen (because theirs does) but they were star struck & forgot to ask!

We all had a great time & the loved the whole 5* experience, we can’t wait to go back!
