When making fashion choices, especially if you are planning to attend a special event, it is important to feel confident in all your decisions. This can be especially hard when it comes to getting new glasses and choosing a new style of frames. Knowing what will look good on you is hard to know, but there are some ways you can narrow down your choices.

Face Shape
First, you need to know what your face shape is so you know what style of frames will accentuate your naturally good features and bring balance to your face. There are five basic shapes: round, oval, square, diamond, and heart. Once you know your face shape, you can narrow down the choice of frame. The most important thing to remember is that opposites are key. You want your face to seem balanced, so picking out frames that are different than your natural features will help achieve this.
Colours
You also need to consider the different colours you can get for your frames. Your skin tone will help to decide this for you even more than hair or eye colour. Unlike with face shape, you want to find frames in a colour that matches your skin tone.
Warm tones like yellow, bronze, or golden, should not choose a contrasting pastel colour. Bold frames in white or black are also bad. You should instead, try to find colours in earth tones or gold that will bring out your natural warmth.
Cooler skin tones have a pink or blue undertone. You should avoid colours that will leave you looking washed out. Your best bet is to choose frames in bold colours like silver, black, pink, purple, gray, or blue.
Lifestyle
Another thing you should consider is the lifestyle you lead. There is so much diversity in eyeglass frames, that you can find virtually anything. Flexible frames that can bend and twist without breaking are ideal for people who live a very active life. People who spend a lot of time gaming or in front of a computer will want frames that enhance their experience. Working in an office or executive position may mean that you want more stylish frames like Persol glasses. Your frames should add to the life you lead instead of being something to overcome.
Personality
Don’t forget to take your personality into account when choosing frames. Eyeglasses are a constant accessory to your fashion sense, so they should be something that reflects your style. They should help you feel comfortable and confident.
You may even want to get a couple pairs of glasses to add more versatility to your wardrobe. You can have a more serious, business pair for the work days, and a whimsical pair for more causal settings.
No matter what lifestyle you lead, personality you have, and physical characteristics of your face, you are sure to be able to find a pair of frames that accentuate your face and life and give you the confidence you want when you follow these tips.
