Dear London Mums,
Summer is set to get hotter thanks to scorching events in the West End and Hyde Park. Keep your eyes on our social media networks and events’ calendar for family adventures, the latest happenings and child-friendly activities across the capital and beyond.
Being part of our London Mums’ network is particularly convenient this year as we have struck deals with West End theatres & London attractions to offer you super discounted tickets through the dedicated site http://londonmumsmagazine.entstix.com.
London Mums recently created kids’ club received an overwhelming response thanks to our child reporters’ genuine and honest reviews.
Even Mayor Of London Boris Johnson enjoyed being quizzed by London child reporters from Kidzcoolit.com Kids Club in collaboration with London Mums magazine on issues ranging from managing a big city like London, his aspirations as a child and his ambitions to become a Prime Minister, speaking foreign languages and which superhero he would like to be. Our exclusive light-hearted honest interview is probably the most genuine Boris has ever given. Enjoy! https://londonmumsmagazine.com/2015/mayor-of-london-boris-johnson-quizzed-by-children
Our forthcoming Summer magazine issue (out in supermarkets in the second week of June) is dedicated to children and to inspirational children’s books’ authors including Cbeebies’ presenter and writer Cerrie Burnell and Tom Gates series’ author Liz Pichon. Watch this space for our Summer/Autumn issue.
Other magazine highlights include film critic Freda Cooper’s interview with rising movie child Star Raffey Cassidy, parenting expert DR MIRIAM STOPPARD Agony Aunt column and Dr Adam Fox’s article on how to fight allergies this Summer. Last but not least, you will love my five-minute chat with glam pop star and footballer’s wife Louise Redknapp who told me her secrets to family happiness and eternal beauty.
Before heading off for a well deserved holiday with the kids, come to my Practical Workshop: Do your own Marketing Communications using social media on 18 June 2015 10am-3pm It will be a great networking opportunity (if you are in business) to learn how to do your own Public Relations and Marketing and save a lot of money as a result of it.

Father’s Day is almost here and London daddy blogger Michael Shilling has put together his light-hearted list of 10 things a first time dad really wants for Father’s Day.
The idea of strolling on a sandy beach in a bikini sometimes makes me shiver at the thought of the Winter blubber. But I have found a quick remedy to shed a few kilos in a few weeks. If you want to try this out, read my world exclusive interview with charming yet controversial Dr Pierre Dukan who told me that ‘he wants to motivate people to fight obesity’ (from London Mums Spring 2015 magazine). Love him or loathe him, you will find this chat interesting.
London Fun & family adventures over the Summer without breaking the bank
London is not always expensive. Just try to look around for bargains and freebies. Here are my tips to spend time in our beautiful Capital without breaking the bank.
Southbank is always a great London location offering free entertainment with a stunning backdrop. One of my favourites anyway! I share this love for Southbank with both our interviewees in our Summer magazine, Cerrie and Liz, who said that they love spending time there. Over the Summer the Southbank Centre is running a Festival of Love inspired by Nelson Mandela. It sounds promising.
Along the Thames another Summer festival is set to be colourful and entertaining for families: London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival 28 June 2015
If you prefer spending time in South West London, then a MUST GO FREE event is the Get Active Wandsworth Festival on Saturday 18th July 2015, King George’s Park
If you quote LONDON MUMS to a member of staff on the day, you will receive a FREE Goodie Bag. It can’t get better than that!
