Dear London Mums

Summer 2013 is on its way or isn’t? Well, weather apart it won’t be like Summer 2012… But do not despair as there will be lots of parties across London to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation.

The London Eye named one of its capsules the Coronation Capsule and there will be a family picnic at the newly renamed Coronation Gardens, with face painting and music from Brassroots playing hits Brit hits from the last 60 years.

The Royal Baby will also be welcomed with a Bang in July so we have this month to speculate whether it’s a boy or girl as well as which name will be chosen for the future King or Queen.

Our summer magazine issue is here too! And it is one of our best ever with a special 7th Year Itch anniversary where we are looking back at some of the memorable highlights that the magazine has featured and getting nostalgic with our special spread which includes exhilarating past events such as the exclusive interview with the fabulous Davina McCall, chatting with mayor Boris Johnson and meeting the beautiful Myleene Klass!

To start things off we have our cover interview with the lovely Cherry Healy who tells us what it’s like to be a full time mum whilst being in the spotlight. We have an insightful interview with Emilia Mitiku, a wonderful singer and mother to be as well as the author of the My Super Sister series- Gwneth Rees! Both personally chosen to represent our Super London Mums spread. We also caught up with the producers of kids TV show Abney and Teal to ask them what makes their programme such a success. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for our Agony Aunts page with celebrity expert Miriam Stoppard, or the third installment of our comic ‘The Adventures of Johnny Rocket’, with previous chapters available on our website if you happened to miss out.

The magazine will hit supermarkets and family-friendly venues across London at around mid June 2013.

The other exciting news we have is the launch of the London Mums Shopping platform that helps the community of London Mums receive daily inspiration and product recommendations from other members of the community. Check out here what this is all about and how you can join for free this amazing platform.
