June 2012 Newsletter

Dear London Mums

This month I realised how much I love this city and its people! Is it maybe because it looks at its best with all these Union Jack flags and clean streets? Or maybe I am just infatuated with this buzzing metropole? I am Italian so patriotic flags waving has never really been my thing. Neither I have been a royalist by any mean and I have never particularly liked all these expressions of love to the Royal Family.

But again what do I know about it.. I am Italian. Yet something strange happened to me last year when Prince William married Kate Middleton: I found myself desperate to be part of the Royal celebrations and capture on camera people celebrating this fairytale wedding.

And I started loving the Union Jack bunting everywhere and the shops dressed up for the occasion. And this scenario is somehow repeating itself this year with the Diamond Jubilee. Inexplicably I found myself loving and collecting Jubilee themed and London 2012 themed memorabilia telling myself it’s going to be worth something some day. But really who am I kidding here? I totally love this Union Jack flag waving and so does my son who is Italian despite being born in London. Well, I love what Londoners and British people generally do to inspire a sense of community with street parties and local events to welcome the Queen in her Jubilee tour.

For this and many other reasons you will love the Jubilympic issue of the London Mums magazine with lots of Union Jack flags ‘waving’ in it. With its kitsch Cool Britannia look and feel, it will probably become a piece of memorabilia in its own right, so make sure you will get your printed copy before they all sell out (there won’t be many around for long). It’s totally FREE anyway but we don’t have many copies.

You will love our celebrity interviews: glam girl Myleene Klass, property TV star Sarah Beeny, Ex-Olympian Denise Lewis and Supernanny Jo Frost answering your questions in the Agony Aunt column. We also cover the amazing testimonial for London Mums from the Mayor of London Boris Johnson.

If you are looking for Jubilympic pretty things to dress your table, get a Jubilympic look and feel for your home, Jubilympic toys and lovely things and memorabilia, look no further. We have chosen the Best of British and London 2012 for you.
