December 2012 Newsletter

Dear London Mums

Christmas is fast approaching. It’s surreal how we are getting so busy when Christmas should be about reflecting and being good. I have the feeling that people are less friendly than usual due to the stress put upon us every year. Fundraising events for schools, organising dinners and parties, attending events, arranging visits to Father Christmas … it all adds up!

That’s why we have our annual party before everybody gets super busy. This year our party was really amazing with over 200 mums and kids, dancing entertainers, and a brilliant Santa in the Grotto bringing lots of gifts to both kids and parents. I will soon post some images and feedback on Facebook so watch this space.

Buying Christmas gifts is also one of those stressful activities that should actually be very entertaining. We had lots of fun just looking for original gift ideas for you. So if you are running out of ideas for your Xmas gifts, check our London Mums’ Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide 2012. Keep it simple and resist commercial pressures this Christmas!

The registrations for the next term of our London Mums art club in Putney from January 2013 every Monday from 4,00 to 5,00pm are now open. The group is brilliant and has activities for both after school kids and toddlers. Mums get entertained too, if they wish. If you are interested, email info@londonmumsmagazine.com and we will send you more info.

Now that the Christmas holidays are approaching you will need to entertain your little ones at home. Check some ideas in our ‘Get creative’ section online filled with activities to do during rainy or cold days.

And if it snows then check our tips on how to build the perfect snowman.

If you want to get out, search our events’ calendar for Christmas parties and street celebrations across London. You can find Christmas-related posts also by typing the word ‘Christmas’ in our search button.
