Families will be able to take their Really Big Summer Adventure at around 100 Indoor play centres this summer as member of the Play Providers Association (PPA) lend their support to the Department of Health’s Change4Life movement.
The Really Big Summer Adventure is an exciting, high-profile campaign to inspire children and their families to get active over the summer holidays.
The Play Providers Association (PPA) represents leading operators of children’s indoor play centres with all members following stringent safety and quality standards. The PPA element to the activity will see centres giving away free rewards with visits to participating member sites this school holiday with customers being rewarded for loyalty with a FREE play session earned after completing the 4 visit loyalty card.
The benefits of play are vast with kids burning off a huge number of calories and getting their recommended 60 active minutes. The PPA calls this “Exercise in Disguise” as the health benefits are hidden by fun with everyone being able to take part. In the school holidays where PE lessons don’t take place it’s even more important to keep your kids active and entertained so a trip to a play centre is the perfect solution.
The PPA’s campaign is supported by Fruitshoot My 5 from Britvic Soft Drinks who are also active Change4Life supporters. My 5 is a blend a mix of 80 per cent real fruit juice with 20 per cent water and the range comes in three flavours – Apple & Pear, Orange & Pineapple and Apple & Blackcurrant – and is be free from colours, sweeteners and preservatives. It’s the perfect way to stay hydrated this summer.
The PPA has run two high profile campaigns in the past using the sub brand “play4life” and also supported the “Great Swapathon” earlier this year. Speaking about the partnership, PPA Chairperson Janice Dunphy commented “The PPA has always been a very strong supporter of Change4Life and the messages that it provides to families. Over 14 million customers visit our member’s sites every year and it’s important that both parents and children alike are aware of how much exercise they need to take everyday and how to maintain a healthy balanced diet.
The Really Big Summer Adventure kicks off on the 23rd July with a special voucher discount booklet for parents in the Daily Mirror and as well as the PPA, includes partner offers from ASDA, JJB Sports and Powerleague.
