This cherished series from sibling duo David Roberts and Lynn Roberts-Maloney cleverly reimagines classic fairy tales with a twist in different eras, putting a fresh spin on these old-as-time tales to make them appeal to a brand new generation of readers. Packed with beautiful illustrations from the illustrator of the Dirty Bertie and The Bolds series, these books go one further than just updating classic tales as children’s books: being equally as informative about a 20th century decade as entertaining.
Each bundle will include Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel.
From watching watch Cinderella being swept around a 1920s dance floor to experiencing the 1950s décor of Sleeping Beauty’s room, there is plenty of detail to enjoy and revisit in these timeless classics with hilarious twists.
In Sleeping Beauty, the young Annabel dreams of escaping her 1950s life for a world of jetpacks, flying cars, and robots. But unknown to Annabel, she is under a curse that will see her fall asleep for 1000 years on her 16th birthday… Can 22nd century explorer Zoe save Annabel in time?
Rapunzel is trapped at the top of her tower-block home by her evil (and incredibly lazy) Aunt Edna. But one day, a handsome stranger appears at the window. Little does she know, her life is about to change in a big way…
Cinderella is a lively 1920s reimagining complete with flapper girls, Charleston dances and plenty more period detail. In this famous rags-to-riches tale, Cinderella has managed to catch the attention of the sought-after Prince Roderick… But will they end up happily ever after?
