Daily Fairy Tales is excited to offer London Mums’ readers the chance to win 1 of 5 copies of Beatrice and the London Bus Book volume 1, the first volume of the succesful book series written by journalist and author Francesca Lombardo. All you need to do is to take this quiz! Five lucky winners will be selected randomly from the entries.
The Story
Beatrice has a Dream … she wants to be a bus driver, so she can drive away from everything she doesn’t like. At school she’s bullied and has no friends. At home her brother calls her Annoying, Ugly Fly, and her parents think she has too much imagination. Beatrice writes a long list of dreams. Another dream is about meeting a ‘talking London Bus’. When she makes a new friend at school called Mark, things change for the better. He gives her a special birthday gift: a model of an ancient London Bus – a Routemaster Bus she once saw in a shop window. Beatrice is thrilled. She writes a song for the model bus begging him to turn into a real talking London Bus she can drive. And, one afternoon, after school she spots the full-size Routemaster Bus. He can talk but only a handful of special people can hear him talking – Beatrice is one of them. Mark feels left out …
