FAMILIES INVITED TO GO INTO THE WOODS THIS HALF-TERM WITH DISNEY AND THE WOODLAND TRUST.
To mark the Blu-ray™ and DVD release of Disney’s musical masterpiece INTO THE WOODS, families can take part in a half-term treat by stepping into Heartwood Forest to take part in an INTO THE WOODS themed trail. This self-led activity trail run in partnership with The Woodland Trust, will take place from Sunday 24 – Sunday 31 May 2015 next to the Magical Wood planted by Disney Stores, where families can explore all 50 acres of the natural broadleaf woodland and meadows in a fun and imaginative way.
Just like in the film, families will be tasked to find the four items during the trail (a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, a slipper as pure as gold and hair as yellow as corn!) via a helpful map to lead them through the woodland adventure.
Along with hunting for these items, there will also be other surprises along the way and families can enjoy face painting and some special musical interludes. All children are encouraged to come along in fancy dress as their favourite Disney character where they can be in with the chance to win some exciting prizes!
No booking is required. The trail is suitable for ages four to ten. Trail length is approx. one hour. Car parking charges will usually apply. The free Into The Woods trail map is available at the trail entrance. People can donate to the Woodland Trust here.
Into The Woods was released on Blu-ray and DVD on Monday 18 May 2015. You can win your Blu-Ray copy by telling us what your favourite Brothers Grimm fairytale of all time is. Please write your answer using the competition form below this post. Deadline to enter is 20th June 2015.
