From the makers of Empire magazine comes the ultimate film and entertainment event, American Airlines presents Empire Live. Taking place at The O2, London, on 23-25 September, enter a world of cinematic storytelling, exclusive film screenings, Q&As and much more!
We are offering 3x lucky readers a pair of tickets to the amazing double bill showing of The Gruffalo/Stickman.
First up is The Gruffalo. The book sold more than 13 million copies, but this version (featuring the voices of Helena Bonham Carter, James Corden and Robbie Coltrane) was first shown in 2009. It’s the story of a mouse who encounters three predators, all of whom wish to eat him, but who he scares off with stories of the fearsome but fictional (he thinks) Gruffalo. Only for him to then bump into the Gruffalo itself.
Then we’ll be showing Stick Man from 2015, which features Martin Freeman, Jennifer Saunders and Rob Brydon in lead roles. The story of an anthropomorphised stick, who is separated from his family via a series of mishaps — a dog playing fetch, a group of girls etc — and tries to make it home.
Also, there will be two very special guests — the Gruffalo and Stick Man! — who’ll you’ll be able to meet and have photos with.
