Here’s your chance to have your five minutes of fame with Rio! Just bring the Rio Carnival spirit home and show us your party, either in a picture or a video. The winning party will be filmed to feature in a national TV advert broadcast during The X Factor! You could be famous like Blu! You’ll also win an amazing party prize package worth £1k including gaming consoles and games. 10 runners up will win a copy of the film on Triple Play featuring the Carnival Party Edition and a goody bag.
Simply upload a video or picture of your party for your chance to win!
Below are some handy tips and some important instructions:
So, you’ve organised your Rio Party, you’ve got your camera ready, and your friends and family are all set for their starring roles. Now all you need to do is show us how much fun you’re having!
The party might be wild but you’re going to need to be as cool and calm as possible when taking videos or pictures. Try to keep the camera steady! Put your elbow on a table if you need to, or just relax as you hold the camera to avoid camera shake.
Turn on the lights! We want to see what’s going on. Shadows on people’s faces are not a good look!
If you or your friends want to say anything on film make sure you choose a quiet corner so the camera can hear you.
Try using free editing software downloaded from the internet to cut your movie into shape. That way, you can cut the wobbly bits out and even add special effects if you’re feeling creative!
Important instructions!
Acceptable file types are JPEG, MPEG, MOV or WMV.
You will need to keep your pictures to less than 1MB, and videos to less than 5MB. Videos must be less than one minute in length.
You will need your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission before entering this competition. If your video includes anyone who is not from your family you must have their permission (and their parents’ permission) to enter the competition too. See our competition terms and conditions for full entry rules.
