Future Films Heads Up: London Film Festival for families

Red carpets, camera crews, photographers, celebs …… they’re all on their way to London for this year’s London Film Festival, which runs from Wednesday, 8th to Sunday, 19th October 2014.  The big films have been announced – The Imitation Game, Mr Turner, Fury and Foxcatcher among them – and the likes of Brad Pitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley and Steve Carrel are all expected to tread that red carpet.

So film fans will be in their element. But what if you’re looking for something more family orientated?

The good news is that the London Film Festival has a special strand dedicated to family movies, completed with a Family Gala screening.

Kids’ TV review: Super-power snail TURBO FAST

The biggest oxymoron  in kids’ TV entertainment are back! The world-famous super-power snail Turbo and his posse of adrenaline junkie fueled snail buddies that form the Fast Action Stunt Team (F.A.S.T) are back, meeting the craziest challengers. No matter how wild things get, the Fast Action Stunt Team always has each other’s backs and their need for speed delivers a whole new level of fun.

Film review: Pride

There’s no ignoring the new British movie, Pride.  The publicity machine has been working overtime and the 80s comedy/drama eventually lands in cinemas this week. It’s already been likened to Billy Elliott and The Full Monty and, while there’s some obvious parallels, this is a film that goes its own way.  But does it live up to the hype?
