During April and May, Arundel Castle is the place for tulip enthusiasts. During this period over 60,000 tulips will bloom in the Castle’s stunning gardens providing visitors with one of the most impressive tulip displays in the country. A wide range of varieties of tulips will be in flower at the Castle creating an explosion of colour throughout its extensive walled gardens.

As the Castle celebrates its 950th anniversary, Raven Tor Living History Group returns to the origins of Arundel Castle portraying the men and women of the 12th century. An opportunity for visitors to meet Norman Knights and Ladies, see the combat training of men-at-arms and archers, and have-a-go at a range of crafts from the late Norman period.

Arundel Castle in West Sussex is set to take visitors on a thrilling journey through the centuries this August Bank Holiday weekend (26-28 August), as part of its History In Action Multi-Period event.
Set on the Lower Lawns of Arundel Castle the tented encampments of five renowned living history groups, and many individual historical reenactors will reflect on more than 12,000 years of local and Castle history with craft, costume, and combat displays.
This is a great opportunity for visitors to meet Roman Gladiators, Norman Crusaders, 14th and 15th century Knights, Georgian Smugglers and Victorian street dwellers, to name but a few of the wide range of historical characters and displays showcased over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
