On 23 November 2012 London Mums had an amazing Christmas party! Most certainly our best so far. A lot of people have asked me to post images from the event so here is my round-up.
The reason for being so different is that it was bigger and better. We had over 200 people enjoying themselves at Eddie Catz Putney, double power entertainment, Christmas storytelling and a special visit from Santa in a Grotto where kids could meet him and take memorable pictures. And best of all lots of super friendly Elves = Eddie Catz staff.
How can you beat two world class entertainer such as Maddy from Dreamcatcher Parties who managed to captivate the attention of our children from 0 to 10 with her most dazzlingly dreamy, extraordinarily breath-taking, ridiculously silly, mind-boggling imaginative, hugely creative children’s entertainment. In case you want to book them for your own parties Dreamcatcher Parties offers a 10% discount to all Twitter followers. Twitter: @Dreamcatch
Maddy had to thank the energetic and super smiley girls from DIDDI DANCE who got the children to warm up beforehand with lots of dancing around with colourful props (ribbons, hoops, bubbles and balloons) as well as festive games. Children and parents really loved it. Diddi Dance usually run 45 minutes high energy classes aimed at 2 to 4 year old boys and girls.
The classes are lots of fun and help children enjoy music and movement in a relaxed atmosphere. We teach over 14 different dance styles including disco, hip hop, tap, ballroom, salsa, country, reggae and flamenco. We use some fantastic props to help children develop their co-ordination. Diddidance has a great Facebook page Facebook www.facebook.com/#!/DiddiDanceSouthWestLondon and you can follow them on Twitter @diddi_swlondon.
STORYTELLING
Storytellers from Far Far Away, a new London- based independent publisher, specialised in high-quality children’s books and digital content primarily for 0-14 year olds, came along to read newly published stories in Santa’s Grotto while the kids and parents were waiting to see Santa. The feedback we received on these sessions was that the books were beautifully read and also well illustrated.
The stories read were: Sylvester and the New Year, George and the Knight, The witch and the dog and Sad tales for me.
The children and the parents alike enjoyed meeting our friendly Santa as you can see from the images. Thanks to our official photographers from Memorygate everybody could walk away with amazing pictures (like the ones you can see here).
The children’s meals will be provided by Little Dish and the drinks by Peter Rabbit Organics.
GOODIE BAGS
Last but not mums and kids both walked away with incredible goody bags whose combined value was £75. We can officially say that London Mums have the best goodie bags in town.
The mums goodie bags included a bag provided by MaByland with inside CandyShell Satin Case for iPhone 4S/4 worth £30; Annabel Karmel products, Nelsons Arnica bath treat, lots of vouchers and money off coupons and the latest issue of the London Mums magazine.
The kids’ goodie bags included a JoJo Maman Bebe luxury blue bag, Christmas Stencils by Orchard Toys, Peter Rabbit Organics Juices, deliciously smelling Smencils 5-Pack Sweet & Spicy
Smencils, a new book from Far Far Away publishers as well as lots of merchandising from the ‘SOOTY IN SPACE’ West End Show.
