In this blog, I am providing tips to move your child from anxious to calm.

The story

On the 20th of January 2012, my life changed.

My son was born, and within a few minutes, he was ripped away from us to have surgery.

I remember being called into the room and the surgeon looking down at the floor; it was clear it was bad news.

In a shaken voice, he told us there was no hope, and our son would not survive.

I zoomed out as I felt my partner’s head on my shoulder and heard her tears.

He said we would be lucky if our son lasted a week and that there were no treatment options.

Our son was the first child to be born without any small bowel.

I insisted on speaking to more experts, and he was still here after a week.

Review: The Sex Club

Sex Club! What is that all about, you might ask, just as I did? Well, it was not what I expected, but better. 

Like most participants, I felt a bit hesitant at first and unsure about what I got myself into, but as the event started, I was quickly put at ease by the fantastic hosts.

The first day started with sharing and speaking about some of the challenges and shame we hold around sexuality.

I felt some resistance but went along, and as the day went on, I felt a slow opening, and it became clear that many of us struggle with the same issues and shame around our sexuality.

Love coach: How to reconnect after an argument

Research has shown that arguments are usual and does not mean you can’t have a long and happy relationship.

Couples therapy has taught me it’s how we argue and how we reconnect that matters.

A key characteristic of happy couples is that they turn towards each other after an argument.

They come together and try to understand the other, and while they might complain about the other’s actions, they never make it about their character.
