The Baby Show London ExCel

On Friday my wife, daughter and I made our way up to London’s Excel Exhibition Centre for The Baby Show.
This was to be our third visit in a row to The Baby Show having been to the previous the previous Excel show a year ago just before my wife’s 20 week scan and more recently at Olympia.

The Baby Show London Olympia 1st time dad visit

My first visit to the Baby Show was at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre back in February. Back then I was wearing my London Mums blogging hat and my expectant father hat.

Yesterday I visited the Baby Show at Kensington Olympia still with my blogging hat on but I was also pushing a SilverCross pram and a three and a half month old (and my wife  Emma who if the truth be told was actually the one pushing the pram).

Is breastfeeding really best for your baby?

I know this article title might at first seem controversial and provocative but I must assure you that my only intention was to get your attention and to question things that are presented to us as facts. It is a fact (perhaps) that 40% of all facts only have a 10 year shelf life so it amazes me that people are surprised when they cease to be. Well actually the declassification of Pluto threw me but you get the idea.

Should paternity leave be extended to 6 weeks?

Seven weeks ago today my wife and I were celebrating the birth of our daughter Elodiedh. This morning I got up at around 6:30am made my daughter a bottle and myself a cup of tea before we both sat down to watch BBC breakfast news. This has been our morning routine for the past few weeks and although my wife despairs at some of the outfits I put our daughter in whilst she sleeps she does appreciate an extra hour or two in bed.
My wife normally gets up at around 8am and we have breakfast together before Elodiedh and I amuse ourselves whilst my wife has a shower and gets ready. By 9am (ish) I’m on my bike and on the way to the studio for a day of photographing other people’s babies whilst my wife has a day of brunch, shopping and texting me pictures of our daughter’s face covered in her own sick.
