Film Review: The Secret Life Of Pets

If you’ve ever wondered what the furry – or feathered – members of the family get up to once you’ve shut the door, the latest from the people who brought us Despicable Me and Minions reckon they’ve uncovered the answer.  The Secret Life Of Pets, released Friday, 24 June, certificate U, treads a similar path as recent TV documentaries, but this time in animation.

Film Review: Long Way North

While The Mouse House takes something of a breather before the release of Finding Dory next month, non-Disney animation is filling the breach.  Last week it came from Japan with When Marnie Was There and Universal’s The Secret Life Of Pets arrives on the 24th.  Sandwiched in between them is the French/Danish co-production, Long Way North, which opens this Friday, 17th June, certificate PG.

Sometimes there’s more to a film than you expect.  And Learning To Drive, released this Friday, certificate 15, is a case in point.  It’s a title that leads you in one direction, but don’t underestimate it.
