Visitors to Sea Life Brighton this half term are in for a treat as the aquarium unveils its dazzling new creature installation Sea Stars, which will open to the public on 10 February.

Featuring more than 170 sensational sea dwellers from across the world, Sea Stars is the UK’s largest celebration of the ocean’s most visually captivating, and most important creatures, the humble ‘star fish’.

Normans Knights in the Keep at Arundel Castle 25 – 26 October 2017

As the Castle celebrates its 950th anniversary, Raven Tor Living History Group returns to the origins of Arundel Castle portraying the men and women of the 12th century. An opportunity for visitors to meet Norman Knights and Ladies, see the combat training of men-at-arms and archers, and have-a-go at a range of crafts from the late Norman period.

Pirates and Smugglers at Arundel Castle – 17 September 2017

Pirates and Smugglers is a family event at Arundel Castle this September. The crew of The Mermaid and The Yarnsmith of Norwich Story Teller will return to the Castle demonstrating crafts, fashion and combat from the 18th century. A great way to find out about the real smugglers of Sussex, and what the historical pirates were really like and did.

History In Action – Multi-Period Event at Arundel Castle 26 – 28 August 2017

Arundel Castle in West Sussex is set to take visitors on a thrilling journey through the centuries this August Bank Holiday weekend (26-28 August), as part of its History In Action Multi-Period event.

Set on the Lower Lawns of Arundel Castle the tented encampments of five renowned living history groups, and many individual historical reenactors will reflect on more than 12,000 years of local and Castle history with craft, costume, and combat displays.

This is a great opportunity for visitors to meet Roman Gladiators, Norman Crusaders, 14th and 15th century Knights, Georgian Smugglers and Victorian street dwellers, to name but a few of the wide range of historical characters and displays showcased over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
