London is probably the best city in the world in terms of activities for families and children including lots of free activities and events. We list here lots of initiatives that we believe London Mums and their children from babies to teenagers would enjoy especially at the most entertaining places such as the Science Museum, The V&A, Kew Gardens, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, Richmond Park, Greenwich, West End shows, the London Eye, the London Aquarium, Kingston upon Thames, Chelsea, SouthBank and so much more.

Mini multi sports camps at Rocks Lane Multi Sports Centre

A few weeks ago, Rocks Lane Multi Sports Centre was recognised by the LTA for its outstanding contribution to British Tennis and particularly in ‘it’s trailblazing development of padel tennis in the community’.

We are delighted that the team at Rocks Lane have been recognised for all their hard work.

My son went to all sports camps to Rocks Lane Multi Sports Centre in Barnes during his primary school years: from football classes early on to football camps, school holiday sports camps and tennis.

Rocks Lane Multi Sports Centre continues to work towards their goals that have stood us in good stead over the past 30 years.

Their aim is to increase participation in sport across all sectors of the community, whilst maximising sporting opportunities for their existing loyal players.

In keeping with their aims, they have recently appointed a School Sports Co-ordinator to liaise with all schools in the local area to increase the opportunities for children to play sport.

A core and unique aspect of their Schools Programme is to offer free use of our facilities to state schools. Emma, the new SSC will be working closely with the local boroughs and schools to make this happen. She has a wealth of experience working with schools in the LB of Richmond.

This will mirror the local projects in the London Boroughs of Richmond and H&F.

Scholarships are available to children who are less fortunate than others so that every child has a chance to reach their potential.

The Schools programme aims to introduce all Year 6 and 7 children to padel over the next two years. This will enable lots of children to enjoy padel and assist those who wish to take their sporting ambitions all the way to the Olympics!

Please contact Emma@rockslane.co.uk if your school or local charitable organisation wish to get involved.
