I have missed going to the movies so much throughout the pandemic so I was delighted to attend one of Pop Up Screens’ events a few days ago.
For the 10th year running Pop Up Screens have been touring around London with an enormous season of outdoor cinema packed with feel good movies, guilty pleasures, and cult classics that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Don’t forget your blanket, or your inflatable sofa, good company and your best pic nic.
It’s once again time to trade in the sticky carpets of a multiplex and enjoy a movie under the stars.
I was happy to watch Back to the Future for the millionth time but on a huge screen and on a velvety green in Greenwich.
The listing includes real cinematic treats with fan favourites like The Craft and 10 Things I Hate About You, feel good movies such as The Greatest Showman and Dirty Dancing and modern musical greats like Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody along with some rom-coms, hard hitting drama and a little action to see you through the summer months.
Adult tickets are £14 and it’s £9 for under 12s. The relaxed atmosphere, along with a bar, and some of London’s best street food traders is fab. I went with a friend and we had a picnic which was nice. We laughed so much as Back to the Future is a super film and even if I know all lines by heart, it still was a treat.
