London is probably the best city in the world in terms of activities for families and children including lots of free activities and events. We list here lots of initiatives that we believe London Mums and their children from babies to teenagers would enjoy especially at the most entertaining places such as the Science Museum, The V&A, Kew Gardens, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, Richmond Park, Greenwich, West End shows, the London Eye, the London Aquarium, Kingston upon Thames, Chelsea, SouthBank and so much more.

FREE LONDON: Get Active Wandsworth Festival on Saturday 18th July 2015, King George’s Park

The Get Active Wandsworth Festival is happening on Saturday 18thJuly 2015 at King Georges Park, Wandsworth, SW18 4AZ.

It is a FREE sport and activity event to encourage people to be more active, providing plenty of opportunities to try out new and interesting sports, as well as some old favourites.

Sports demos and taster sessions will be happening throughout the day for all ages and abilities, as well as face painting, bouncy castles, a climbing wall, and much, much more. You will also get the chance to meet Paws, the friendly Active Wandsworth Mascot. Wandsworth event July 2015

The festival kicks off at midday and runs until 5pm. Entry is completely free and is a great day out for all the family, so come along and get involved!

The day will be packed out with fun free activities for all ages and abilities to enjoy. Keep the kids entertained with bouncy castles or kid’s street dance, with circus skills or face painting, while the adults can indulge in some yoga or tai chi, get a health check at the NHS stand or even race the kids to the top of the climbing wall. With over 7000 people attending last year it’s one of the must see events of the summer.
