Christmas can be an expensive time of year but to keep the kids entertained there is a selection of free activities taking place across Canary Wharf, including a visit to Santa’s magical grotto. With entertainment to keep the little ones occupied, it’s a fabulous and festive outing. Visitors are encouraged to make a £2 donation to Richard Hose Children’s Hospice.
Across the shopping areas, children are invited to show their creativity by decorating festive head boppers and Christmas cupcakes courtesy of Lola’s Cupcakes. They can also have their face painted with a selection of colourful and seasonal designs, such as snowmen, gingerbread men and even Rudolph.
There’s nothing more festive than donning your winter woollies and gliding around an ice rink. Set amidst the towering skyline, Ice Rink Canary Wharf has one of the largest outdoor rinks in the capital and feature London’s only skate path. Celebrating one of the area’s most famous residents Sammy the Seal, there are child-friendly skate aids and a ‘sealfie wall’ where visitors can take pictures of themselves as Sammy, sharing pictures using the #sealfie.
To top off the day, the whole family can enjoy fun and adventure with Santa’s Magical Toy Factory; a Christmas family show with classic festive songs. Enjoy!
