Quirky, totally, but think:
Do you love music, uplifting music, but can’t play an instrument and would love to be part of a small group which teaches you how to ring a welcome peal for a bride, a babe or a dearly departed one ? Ringers have also been faithfully celebrating and commemorating every great event since the WW1 Armistice, including more recently, the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the Accession of King Charles III.
Do you love our heritage, old churches, winding stone staircases, arcane language, stories behind the stone and oak, ancient locks that are buggers to open with fat keys that are hidden at the base of the third column to the left, the sense of continuity?
Do you love getting social, building camaraderie, travelling, pubbing, learning a new skill and being part of both a small and worldwide community?
Do you need a good upper-body workout once a week, that involves cardio and a fairly respectable sweat.
If so, Putney Ringers are looking for you. Contact Paula Greenwood.

Looking forward to meeting you!
I started learning about 2 months ago and it feels like kite flying, that out-of-body experience you get where you are transported up there with the kite, riding the currents. When you get it right, you pull just right and the bell swings just right and it’s gently pulling you up and you’re gently pulling it down… well it’s bordering on SEXY!

Hi! I have a ‘portfolio’ lifestyle, jumping between mum, journalist, curator of my own museum, chauffeur, French tutor and carer. I love music, dance, theatre and dancing in the evenings, and helping others to enjoy life. I’ve been through the mill healthwise, along with my family, and am grateful for every day.
