London is probably the best city in the world in terms of activities for families and children including lots of free activities and events. We list here lots of initiatives that we believe London Mums and their children from babies to teenagers would enjoy especially at the most entertaining places such as the Science Museum, The V&A, Kew Gardens, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, Richmond Park, Greenwich, West End shows, the London Eye, the London Aquarium, Kingston upon Thames, Chelsea, SouthBank and so much more.

HELEN O’GRADY DRAMA ACADEMY FOR CHILDREN

The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy offers a self development through drama programme, designed to build children’s confidence, self esteem and skill in verbal communication. Classes are Monday-Battersea, Tuesday-Clapham, Wednesday-Stockwell, Thursday-Southfields, Friday-Wimbledon, Saturday- Balham.

The curriculum is constantly revived and updated to keep it fresh. Weekly lessons include lots of language work, mimes to music, dress-ups and creative improvisations. Because of the structure and progressive nature of the curriculum, a child can join at 5 years old and stay until they are 17 and never repeat a lesson. Above all the classes are great fun!

The aim of the Academy is to tap into the natural interest children have in drama and channel it to produce confident, articulate young people.

Parents say: “The show really engaged the children, the diction and acting skills were clear to see and the children clearly enjoyed attending classes.”

“Wonderful work, I never thought I would see the day my daughter would perform in front of dozens of people, she is so confident now.”

Local classes are available Monday-Battersea, Tuesday-Clapham, Wednesday-Stockwell, Thursday-Southfields, Friday-Wimbledon, Saturday- Balham.
