Winter can be gloomy enough especially if you are meteopathic like me. However in a city like London you can beat the melancholy caused by bad weather immersing yourself in the buzz of the Capital. In fact it is proven that most people who live in urban societies seem to be unaffected by the weather. Take a look at London Mums’ top 20 family activities for Winter Weekends including West End theatre offers, discounted activities and attractions.
Sleepover in London – London Mums review Premier Inn
It can be quite costly to travel by taxi and train with the whole family to move across venues in town and back home so we tried to use a Premier Inn hotel in Central London and we loved it.
Comfort at an affordable rate is priceless really and you can enjoy a late night in London, which is beautiful over the Winter time especially with Christmas lighting. The family room at the Premier Inn Monument was big enough to fit in three people – two adults and a child. It has a table, TV and a great family bathroom. For just over £200 per night you can get this room and a meal (either breakfast or dinner). For Central London it’s really not bad at all and the central location is priceless.
Booking online is easy. When you arrive, the reception is basic but efficient. You log in at a screen but staff is at hand to help out if you get stuck with your online reservation.
For breakfast and dinner, the ambience is cool and relaxing, a bit of a haven from the vibe and buzz outside. It is important that kids take a break in between trips or shows to make sure they don’t get overtired. If they are well rested the whole London adventure is more enjoyable.
With over 740 hotels, Premier Inn offers a choice of more locations in the UK than anyone else. What’s more, Premier Inn London Tower Bank secured the title of UK’s Best Family Hotel 2016 according to the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Easy online booking, comfortable family rooms where under 16s stay free, a restaurant in-house offering kids menus and meals deals, plus a fantastic all-you-can eat breakfast that doesn’t cost a thing for kids all combine to make family getaways with Premier Inn fun and hassle-free.
