After meeting the cast of Marvel Universe Live Show a few months ago, we finally attended the premiere of the first UK performance at the O2 Arena last week. Needless to say that the show was spectacular with lots of special effects but more aimed at children than parents. Watch this cute video of the kids where they give their honest opinion on the show.
This is the kids’ hilarious video review:
This show could not come at a better time. In fact 2015 and 2016 have been important years for Marvel which has released new Avengers and Captain America’s movies as well as showing us a peak into their plans for more action films with our favourite superheroes in the near future.
The Dates and the Venue
Dates: Due to epic demand two extra shows on 25th September have been added to the run of dates at The O2, where tickets are still available from the Marvel Universe LIVE! website at www.MarvelUniverseLive.co.uk. The tour begins its quest in London from 15th September to 25th September at The O2.
The extra London shows being added to the Marvel Universe LIVE! UK tour are as follows:
Date City Venue Performance time
25th September 2016 London The O2 12pm
25th September 2016 London The O2 4pm
The Venue: The O2 in London
Address: Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX
During a pre-show party children, parents and fans attempted to lift a replica of Thor’s iconic Hammer, Mjolnir, to test their Super Hero powers and see if they could emulate his godly strength.
The show is taking the live entertainment experience to a whole new level, with an epic show unlike anything seen before.
Bringing together the largest assembly of Marvel characters in a live production, audiences will be able to watch some of their favourite Marvel Super Heroes step out of the Marvel Universe onto the stage – bringing the action to life right before their eyes. It’s loud, smokey, it has motorbikes’ stunts and even fireworks. It’s a very testosterone fulled show which girls might not really enjoy as much as boys do. But having said that, the mums loved the stunts too. It’s being hailed as the most technically advanced live show ever, with cutting-edge special effects, pyrotechnics, aerial stunts, martial arts, motorcycles and more.
We all had our favourite Marvel Super Hero to cheer for. My absolute favorite was Spider-Man.
Iron Man was very cool too. Hulk was a bit disappointing as he could barely moved within a very heavy green suit so he looked weird rather than the usual Hulk we see on the big screen.
Loki was well acted. He is also my favourite villain with his sinister grin and confidence. Shame there was no Tom Hiddleston inside the suit.
Featuring over 50 cast members and taking over two years to research and develop, Marvel Universe LIVE! utilises some of the latest innovations in arena set design and aerial pyrotechnics, with stunts developed by the team from Hollywood blockbuster, Thor, and the recent The Amazing Spider-Man films. The set includes innovative lighting design, transformative 3D projection, 21 projectors, the largest flying system ever used for a live arena tour and the debut of a new Spotlight Tracking System.
Spiderman aka Juan Cernada showed the kids how to do some Spidey’s iconic moves. They were very impressed with the flip. Watch it for yourself in this short video.
