There are more than 1 million European Londoners in our city. You, your friends or your family members might be among them. As the chosen representative for my country of origin, Italy, I am honoured to invite London Mums who feel passionate about celebrating Europe to ‘We Are All Londoners’ at City Hall with Mayor Sadiq Khan and myself on 21 September 2019.
To celebrate how European Londoners have shaped our capital, City Hall be opening its doors on Saturday 21 September for a special ‘We Are All Londoners’ event – and everyone’s invited!
EU citizens and their families can receive free legal advice on the EU settlement scheme from immigration advisers on the day.
The day will be filled with European activities, performances and food and drink, and is for Londoners and visitors of all ages to come together, have fun and discover more about the heritage and cultures of our European colleagues, neighbours and friends – showing that London is truly open to all.

It’s more important than ever to celebrate the diversity of our city and show that we will always be open. Here is a taster of the day’s activities:
London’s first EU Settlement Ceremony, 12-1pm (booking required – registration button)
The Mayor, Sadiq Khan, will open this celebratory ceremony to personally thank and recognise a group of exceptional European Londoners who are applying for Settled Status.
Panel Discussion: Focused on Brexit, 2-3pm (booking required – registration button)
An expert panel will look at key questions including London’s ties with Europe, and Brexit’s impact on the lives of European Londoners.
Broadcaster Leona O Neill will chair the discussion with a Q&A open to the audience.
All Day Drop-In Activities, 11am-3.30pm (General Admission booking required – registration button)
A Mile in My Shoes
Visitors are invited to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes – literally – while listening to stories of EU citizens who’ve made London their home. From Fee, an 81-year-old German woman who moved to London in 1962, to Danish student Emilie, who arrived just a few years ago.
Badge Making
Create your own badges and stickers sharing personal stories of family and community. Suitable for families.
Language Café
The EU has 23 official languages, and we’d like to hear from all of them. Meet others who share your language – and some new one at this informal language café.
Community Support Space
Get free legal advice on applying for Settled or Pre-Settled Status by independent immigration advisers. Find out more about volunteering and funding opportunities, with support and advice available to everyone.
Storytelling Room
Storytellers Crick Crack Club will be delving into the shared heritage and storytelling culture across Europe in this entertaining drop-in session.
Special 1000 Londoners ‘Goodbye Europe’ Screening
An anthology of short films about the London lives of people from each of the EU’s 28 nations, by Chocolate Films.
Celebrations will be continuing throughout the day with an eclectic range of European music performances to enjoy including from The European Cabaret, Balkan Brass, One Day One Choir and The London Scandi Session.

There will be a coffee shop and hot food served from 12pm – 3pm serving European food.
Please note, only food purchased on the premises can be consumed within the building.
