At Christmas everyone gives it all to help out! Check out this interesting charity stunt: World renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips is set to lead festive knitwear-clad shoppers in a dance on Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 13th December 2013 at Westfield London, W12 at 8:00am.

The charity is attempting to break the world record for the most people dancing in Christmas jumpers in one place.

Save the Children is calling for help – they need 600 people to take part to break the record.


World record attempt

Ever thought you had it in you to break a world record? Save the Children is about to give you the chance to try on Christmas Jumper Day! At 8.00am on Friday 13th December at Westfield London, W12 world renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips will be leading an attempt to break the world record for the most people dancing in Christmas jumpers in one space – and she needs your help. Get into the Christmas swing and join Arlene in a simple dance that she has choreographed for the occasion and help raise money for Save the Children.

Arlene will be getting participants into the festive spirit by leading her Christmas jumper dance routine to Kelly Clarkson’s brand new track ‘Underneath The Tree’ (the first song from Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas album ‘Wrapped In Red’). We want everyone to turn up in their Christmas jumpers and take the time to learn the simple routine before the big day – you can watch Arlene’s step-by-step video at www.christmasjumperday.org/worldrecord

Christmas Jumper Day

On Friday 13th December 2013 Save the Children is calling on people across the UK to help make the world better with a sweater and take part in the tradition of wearing a kitsch Christmas jumper in exchange for a £1 donation to raise money for its life saving work with children the world over. Support for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day has already started in earnest, with celebrities including Myleene Klass, Julie Walters and of course Arlene Phillips posing in their festive woollies.
